Making things is what I like to do. I am going to put build videos on Fridays showing how to make a variety of things. Wednesdays I do my vlog or "talkie talkie" going over previous builds and talking about general shop stuff. If you are a builder, maker or DIYer this channel is for you. Keep up to date by subscribing so you don't miss a thing. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Minecraft Meets Zelda Shield (prop / cosplay build)
I was asked to help make a cosplay / larping shield where the theme was to combine the shape of the Link Hylian Zelda shield with the vibes of a standard Minecraft shield - I think it turned out pretty sick

I have no experience in anything but I've always felt that starting to thread in reverse and waiting for the click is best for everyone 👌
Thanks Nick. Your design and explanations were terrific and I really need a potting bench. I am eager to give your joinery a try.
Cool beans. Dude. Nice.
Ordered drill press after watching 🙄
He never saw that before? That idea has been around for as long as clamps have been around. But I am in special effects not a wood worker so maybe the thought processes is different.
Nobody has glue issues when the wood looks that good. To feed his kids made me laugh.
Thank you. Just thank you.
Extremely impressive. That’s next level right there 👍. If mine turns out 1/4 that good I’ll be happy
Okay for "entertainment purposes" if someone was looking to do something like this and did want to extend that potentiometer away from the fan motor, is there a specific type of wire to use? Like a specific gauge?
how does the lift mechanism sense that the TV turns on- To raise and Off to lower ??? Video me please
Thanks for sharing this gem..
This is exactly what i need to create for my channel.
I'm guessing that since there was never a part 2 your wife gave you the boot?
Thank you Sir.🎉
Nice. Simple. Effective. Inexpensive. I like it. Does the factory edge last a long time before becoming worn out?
Great video and explanation! What do you think of using a router for the joints instead of a miter?
Will this work for removing galvanization also?
You can also cook an egg on your clothes iron.
What kind of wire cutter is that?
Great build I love the framing jig add on to it’s a great idea. I see you haven’t posted for awhile I hope all is good
Blah blah blah
Thank you Nick! Awesome video and it gave me many ideas!! My question is have you ever put this on the interior of a house? Would it hold up in a bathroom if I wanted to a wall with it? Thanks, Jennifer
Can you make it rock hard after?
I will absolutely f this up. Any chance I can buy yours??
This is what I needed to see! I want to mill my own violin lumber, and if this can take a homeowner grade planer down to 1mm, then that's perfect!
I've watched a buttload of videos real complicated track saws easy track saws you name it and I have to say your idea is the best. It's the cheapest the easiest and it looks like about the easiest and lightest carry around from one work site to another. Thank you brother. My search is over
How did you make it remote?
Great tool for my small shop, I'm gonna try this 👌
Thanks - you’ll have to let me know how it goes
Great job on the video, excellent demonstration and instructions.
Thanks - hopefully you could take something away from it
All good until that chuck flies off and smacks you in the face..
It’s captured by the tail stock
@@NickFerry ya you're right and i was wrong.
@@NickFerry what about lateral forces on the spindle bearings?
OMG, awesome video. Now I know how photographers get that wind effect for their photo shoots😂😂😂😂👍👍👍
And sell all those detangling combs 😂
I've made my sled a few years ago and it's served me well. I really like your build and think its time to build a new one mirroring yours. great job, thank you
Awesome, let me know how it goes ✌🏼
This is great! I started watching like wtf 😂 i was totally going to over complicate this, thank you
Thanks - works great for slots on jigs too
Seriously. You wasted 95% of the material to get a thin veneer.
Yup - you could resaw it thinner if have the capabilities & desire - depends on the material on how much ya want to try to save - thanks for your keen observation skills 👊🏼
Creative video, thanks :)
Much appreciated 👊🏼
You won't get rich, but if everyone on here tipped ya' you would have another $3k (are you listening guys!) Seriously, I needed to make a tool to make a tool to install my seal so this will save me a bit of time on one step at least LOL
Haha say it loud - solidly appreciated
Dude, this is frikkin genius! Tomorrow I need to make a small, cone-shaped expander to install a hydraulic piston seal , 'cause I don't feel like spending $240 for something I may only use once. I was going to cobble a quickie horizontal lathe with a drill, but this is faster and better. Now to figure out how to make an expanding pusher! Thanks.
Awesome- glad I could help - you’ll have to let me know how it goes & maybe tag me in a pic on some platform so I can see it - btw, did you tip $5? Haven’t seen that newer icon so I didn’t know - either way, appreciated 👊🏼✌🏼
Splendid! If I want to put it on an exterior wall, how should I stick it? With adhesive for polystyrene? Thank you so much!
Yes - check the videos linked in the description for the shrek tower build - I show attaching it in that video
Thank-you. I was pondering how to glue some together. The parallel clamp use is new for me. Again, thanks.
No problem, glad I could help - parallel clamps are definitely an investment and they’re not the most versatile but when they do come in to play they’re rather useful - for smaller stuff check out parallel jaw pliers
GENIUS. thanks for the video big man
My pleasure - don’t forget to tip the waitstaff :)
Hello! Did you use 1/2 inch thick plywood on all the boxes?
I believe so - I may have it listed in the free plans - nickferry.com/product/apple-boxes-cut-list/
Thanks @@NickFerry!
9 years ago? Do something new please
Do you miss me that much?
Thank you very much for this video. It is the best I have seen and the easiest way to do a brick wall.
My pleasure - glad I could share some art with ya - ✌🏼
perfect ! many thanks
My pleasure ✌🏼
Nick that is bloody genius 😮.
Thanks - it’s been something I wanted to to make work for a while
Dah, crazy great idea, thanks
You’re most welcome
Nice. Next up. How to turn a ceiling fan into a box fan...
I like it
Following from the router jig to the storage. Who doesn't need more shop storage. Great videos, Thanks.
My pleasure - let me know if ya have any questions - ✌🏼
Thanks
My pleasure - ✌🏼
Those are the nicest looking apple boxes I've seen!
Thanks much, he was pretty happy with them
